DR. SIOBHAN DONOVAN - PSY 22891

 

Dr. Siobhan Donovan is a licensed Psychologist in the State of California (PSY22891).   She is also a licensed Qualified Medical Examiner (Q.M.E.)  She is an experienced psychologist who specializes in clinical and forensics psychology.  She has more than 14 years of clinical experience and over nine years in the field of forensics.  She has served as an expert witness in both criminal and civil cases. 

A native of Los Angeles, Dr. Donovan earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Sonoma State University.  While at Sonoma State University, Dr. Donovan played collegiate soccer for Sonoma State’s National Championship Women’s Soccer team.  In 2006, Dr. Donovan graduated with her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from California School of Professional Psychology, Los Angeles. 

Dr. Donovan’s professional background includes experience in the correctional system within the State Hospital and Prison systems.  Most recently, Dr. Donovan worked for the Department of State Hospitals conducting evaluations of sexually violent predators and mentally disorder offenders.  Previously, she worked on both the civil and forensics units at Metropolitan State Hospital.  While at Metropolitan State Hospital, she also served as a supervisor of clinical psychologists.  Dr. Donovan has experience with diverse settings and populations including working in a private psychiatric hospital, and with non-profits and community mental health.  She has evaluated learning disabilities in a college setting and worked in elementary and junior-high schools.  In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Donovan has taught graduate-level students as an adjunct professor. 

Dr. Donovan opened her own private practice in South Pasadena, California in 2009 and continues to work with individuals, couples and families.   She utilizes individual, couple and family therapy modalities customized for each client.  Dr. Donovan has experience with relationship issues, depression, anxiety, personality disorders, divorce, traumatic exposure and family discord.   She has a passion for helping people and finds this profession extremely rewarding.  

In her spare time, Dr. Donovan enjoys traveling, cooking, and playing soccer.  She also completed her first Ironman race in 2016. 

Dr. Donovan has a passion for working with adolescents and families who may be experiencing hardship and difficulty in their lives.  She looks to facilitate the process of navigating these hardships to achieve strength and harmony. She will provide a safe environment to enable you to share your inner struggles and fears. Through this process, she will help guide you to find strength, peace and harmony.
